Casa SoñadoraSayulita, Mexico | The Jewel of Sayulita
Sayulita’s Most Beautiful Property!
Casa Soñadora, the Jewel of Sayulita, is a truly exceptional vacation home with every imaginable amenity and some amazing features found no where else in Sayulita. It is a new home in Sayulita’s most sought after location. It is beautifully designed and combines old world Mexican charm with modern comfort and convenience. Every single aspect of this property, inside and out, has been thoroughly considered, so that extraordinary views of the Pacific Ocean, Sayulita Bay and the surrounding tropical gardens and mountains can be seen from every vantage point. Privacy is assured. Take a 4 minute tour of Casa Soñadora below. (Click on the photo below to start tour.)
3-4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Bathrooms, 2 Outdoor Showers
From the ground up, this 4300 sq. ft. home was built by our Architect friend, who designed the city of Cancun and then designed and built a beachfront estate for the President of Mexico. Construction was completed in 2013 and it has become our favorite of three homes in Sayulita. We really love the layout of this house, since all rooms face the ocean and every room has either a deck, terrace or patio all facing the surfbreak below the house. It has special features not found in any other property in Sayulita, from dual paned windows and giant sliding doors made in Germany to a very special treehouse with incredible ocean views. We also have a large iguana tree on the property, so you can watch the iguana family climb the tree, walk the wall and sometimes visit you on the lawn.
LOCATION: Casa Soñadora’s location is also the best in Sayulita. It is located in the exclusive south-central area, directly above Sayulita’s premier surfing and swimming beach on a little hill and 1 block to town. This area was the first developed by ex-pats who came to Sayulita over 40 years ago. It was chosen above all other areas in Sayulita because of its unsurpassed views of the surf break and the Nayarit coastline and its close proximity to the center of town and main swimming and surfing beach just 1 ½ blocks away. No car is needed when staying at Casa Sonadora, because everything in Sayulita is within a 5 minute stroll. (Another nice feature is the delightful 2 minute walk to town and beach via the beautifully flowering garden and meandering pathway, lovingly called “Lombard Street”, referencing San Francisco’s famous twisty road.) All our properties have incredible tropical gardens, unsurpassed panoramic views, heated swimming pools, and since we are avid art collectors – large collections of unique Mexican art throughout. We also love spending time on the roof terrace with giant palapa. Here we have 360 degree views of the ocean, mountains, jungle, village and surfbreak. From here you can watch the surfers, migrating whales and swooping birds, and drink in the huge expanse of the Nayarit coastline. This property is paradise personified. This home is 4500 Sq Ft.

A short list of our most frequently asked questions.
How far are Dreamer Circle properties from the beach and town?
All Dreamer Circle properties are in the perfect location, directly above the beach and surf break of Sayulita! It's only a 1 1/2 block walk to the beach and town via a beautifully paved and landscaped walkway. The hill is not a problem for most people, however, if you have elderly folks or children under 4 years old in your party, you may want to consider renting a golf cart. Many people use them in town, and they can be parked on the streets. They are fun to zip around in and much easier than cars. If you are staying at Casa Paloma, you can rent our golf cart. Otherwise, you can rent one in town. We provide recommendations when properties are booked.
What is the weather like in Sayulita?
Below are average temperatures by month:

- 80°F March through May
- 85°F June through August
- 85 - 88°F September and October

When is the rainy season in Sayulita?
The rainy season is June through September. We delight in viewing the lightning storms out at sea on late summer evenings.
What is safety like is Sayulita?
Sayulita is a very friendly and safe town. There have been no problems in the area regarding drug trafficking, etc. This town is super family friendly. Children, both local and tourist, play on the beaches, plaza, etc. As long as houses are locked, there are no problems with theft and we have had none. There are also safes in each bedroom.
How is surfing in Sayulita?
Sayulita’s central beach, just below Dreamer Circle, is a great place for beginning surfers (board, SUP, and body surfing). 100 yards further down the beach the waves are bigger. There are waves year round. The waves tend to be the smaller in the summer. There can occasionally be big swells in the winter.
What's the best way to exchange money?
There are several ATM’s at the Puerto Vallarta airport and in Sayulita. Before your trip, be sure to notify your bank and credit card companies that you will be using your cards in Mexico. Visa or Master Card is more widely accepted than American Express. Some restaurants and shops in Sayulita do not accept credit cards.
You can exchange your money for pesos at the airport, but expect poor rates. Sayulita has several money exchange places and the rate is generally better. The best rate is at a bank. If you arrive before 5:00 pm, you can ask your driver to take you to one of the banks at Plaza Marina or Actinver next to the Mega Store.

A hair dryer is included in every bathroom of all Dreamer Circle properties.
Do Dreamer Circle properties have air conditioners?
Air conditioning is included each bedroom.
Do Dreamer Circle properties have washers and dryers?
Dreamer Circle properties do not include access to a washer or dryer. However, the house keeper can do laundry for 100 pesos per load.

This was our 4th time to Sayulita, and it was out best visit yet! We are grandparents who visit Sayulita with our son and his family (ages 10, 7, & 1). The exquisitely decorated house is well designed to provide good privacy and separation for two families. It is well built, equipped, and maintained. We especially appreciated the filtered water, the daily cleaning service, and the full set of stainless steel heavy duty cookware. The property sits at the top of a small hill (yes, one must walk up a fairly steep but short hill), and it is only a couple of blocks from the beach, main square, and grocery shops. You do not need to rent a car! Jose Ramos Transportation is reliable and dependable! The best places to be in Sayulita are located at the south end of the town where Casa Sonadora is located. Our 10 year old grandson took a 2-hour surfing lesson, and that’s all that he needed to become a ‘surfer dude.’ Eric was terrific! He met us when we arrived and was there when we departed and was readily available during the week if we needed him. Couple of tips: Bring pesos or a debit card to access ATM machines (Eric says use only the ones at either of the Oxxo stores or at Don Pedros), as few places take credit cards, and those that do usually impose a surcharge. The wood fired pizza place in the center of town on the main drag is very good, and there are many small family run lunch places for tacos and burritos. Choc Banana is a great place for breakfast. And don’t miss the authentic French bakery operated by a guy who says he came over from France 25 years ago. Fresh croissants and baguettes every morning! Its located on the street that runs along the north side of the town square a block down from and across from the well-known fish taco place. On your way from the airport, ask your driver to take you to the new Mega store on the north side of Puerto Vallarta, not the old one near the airport, although they are both good. Sayulita is a really neat ‘happening’ little Mexican village, not a flashy resort spot. It is safe, and the local residents are friendly.

8 adults and 1 child, a mix of family and friends, spent a week at Casa Sonadora in June. We loved the house and the pool. The views are incredible. The pool is perfect for lazy afternoons and the roof-top deck is lovely for happy hour. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The outdoor shower in the upstairs master bedroom is funky and fun. Sayulita is a great little escape from the hustle and bustle of PV. We rented a golf cart and that was invaluable for getting our old bones up the hill after a day of surfing and exploring the town. The house is easily close enough to walk everywhere as well. Great restaurants, ATMs and stores are steps away. We went down for fresh-squeezed juice every morning. Dennis and Joan were lovely to work with. They saved the day for us as we arrived on election day eve. In Sayulita no stores, restaurants or bars sold any alcohol for 2 days. They raided their own stash and we were able to keep our vacation party going till the bars re-opened. We had a great vacation. We look forward to going back soon and staying in one of their beautiful houses!

Our family and friends just returned from two weeks spent at this fantastic house. The location is perfection-super close to all the action in Sayulita, yet quiet and very private. We were traveling with small children, who spent hours in the pool. Between the large bedrooms, and the various outdoor spaces, there is plenty of room for alone time as needed. The kitchen had everything we needed. Being there in July and August, the weather was hot, and with the exception of some summer storms which took out the power throughout Sayulita a couple of times during our stay, the air conditioning worked great. Eric is very responsive to any questions or concerns one might have, and Carmina helps keep the house tidy. I think our group has been spoiled by this house, as I can’t imagine staying anywhere else!

The Central Pacific Coast of Mexico is surrounded by jungle and receives 345 days of sunshine per year. Located on the same latitude as the Hawaiian Islands, its sub-tropical climate is often compared to Hawaii’s. Temperatures reach 90 degrees F (32 C) during the summer, along with high humidity, but at night, the onshore breeze from the Bay of Banderas brings cool air that makes for pleasant sleeping conditions. The rainy season is June through September, however, August and September are considered the two “rainy” months. On average, September has 15 wet days per month, while January has only two. Rain usually doesn’t start until late in the afternoon, leaving most of the day free for outdoor activities. The Bay of Banderas also offers shelter from harsh Pacific winds and hard weather in winter. November through May, the peak tourist season, are generally warm, sunny and dry, with comfortable, balmy nights.
